Jargon and the Language of Labor

by practicalspactical

The World of Work, being new and unnatural, requires a new language focusing on ideas and processes and productivity – jargons and cants – they are divorced from our natural world, from our First Being, from our physicality, and to the extent that our minds and thoughts are shaped by the languages (and thought-processes that languages freeze, even as law is frozen politics), work is alienated and alienating because it requires us to think thoughts our minds are not designed for. Success in work, invention, therefore might be tied to a certain autistic detachment from Being-In-The-World, given to individuals who have more plastic minds and can accept and thrive under new thought-structure-models.
